So…next year I’m going to be a sophomore, and I am in a dilemma on which electives I should take next year. This freshman year I wanted to take Spanish 1, but the class was full, so I ended up taking French 1. Now I really want and need to learn Spanish, but it is recommended that if you start with a language you should continue with it, and I want to continue with French next year because I just don’t want to pull the line on it after already learning it for a year. So, I first decided that I would take French 2, and Spanish 1 next year… but I also want to be in more enjoyable electives that I could take to help me learn and pursue in want I want to be, like computer graphics design or Web Design, which would pave the way for a career I would like to pursue in the future. The problem is you can only take 2 electives at most your Sophomore year. So I am in a dilemma of if I should just forget about the computer graphics and web design and take spanish 1 and french 2 next year for electives, or…if I should continue French 2 next year, while also taking an elective of my choice, and then just starting Spanish 1 my Junior year, and Spanish 2 my Senior year, while still going on with French… so I really don’t know what to do. I want/need to take Spanish badly because I am part mexican, and my father is mexican, and all my family in Mexico mostly only speak Spanish. And on top of that, if I were also to be in a Spanish class, it would be better for scholarships for hispanics(I am half hispanic), and it is like the second most important language in the world, and by knowing spanish, it could open up more job opportunities for me in the future, other than french, which would give me less oppurtunities. So, if I were to take the choice of taking Spanish 1 my Junior year, and continuing to Spanish 2 my senior, would it be enough? And would colleges see it as enough? Would it be better to just not take what I want next year and go on with learning both French and Spanish? Would Spanish 1 be more eligible for Freshman coming in, than for a Sophomore? How should I go about this?

Any help is greatly appreciated, for I am stuck in a dilemma, eek! xd

OK, look, I’m Hispanic as well.
But listen, I was in such a similar spot as you except switch the languages.
TEACH yourself Spanish. Trust me. I’m not sure where you live; but there are PLENTY of Spanish resources on the internet. For French and other languages; not so much. Keep taking French and beg your family to teach you Spanish.
Trust me; 3 full languages look better than 1, a half, and another half.
